WHERE THE BELT WENT

Fedor never lost it. After the Zuffa sale the belt was never fought for again, and unlike Pride's middleweight and welterweight belts it was never unified with a UFC title.

Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta, the owners of the UFC's parent company Zuffa, bought Pride on March 27, 2007 through a new company, Pride FC Worldwide Holdings. Pride ran its last show, Pride 34, on April 8, 2007 and closed its Japan office on October 4, 2007.
