FAQGlass Jaw FAQ

GETTING STARTED

What Glass Jaw is, accounts, platforms, and the solo sim.

Do I need an account to start playing?

No. In The League you build your fighter first. The moment you commit, Glass Jaw creates a guest account for you with a temporary manager handle, and you go straight into your debut. There is no email or password at the front door.

A guest career lives on the one device where you made it. To keep it safe, and to play the same career in the browser and the app, link it to a sign-in later. After a few fights HQ asks you to do that with a DON'T LOSE YOUR CAREER prompt, and you can always say LATER.

The solo career sim at https://playglassjaw.com/solo needs no account at all.

How do I save my career to an account with email, Apple, or Google?

Glass Jaw offers three sign-ins: Apple, Google, or an email address. Email sign-in sends a six-digit code to your inbox; there is no password. Linking any of them to your guest career keeps that career on the account instead of on one device.

The easiest moment is the DON'T LOSE YOUR CAREER prompt that HQ shows once you have a few fights on the book. You can also reach sign-up from the Stable screen's ACCOUNT card. Signing up links the provider to the career you are already playing, so nothing is lost.

Be careful with SIGN OUT on a guest account. The app warns you: a guest who signs out permanently deletes that career. Link a sign-in first.

How long does a career take in real time?

There is no fixed length. Training runs on real timers measured in minutes and hours, and a fight is booked for a real time of day and plays out live over several minutes. How fast your career moves depends on how often you train and fight.

Your fighter's age does not follow the wall clock. Career time advances with activity: every drill and every fight pushes the career clock forward, and birthdays arrive on that clock. A fighter who trains and fights a lot ages faster than one who sits. Young fighters can still grow; older ones start to decline, and accumulated damage speeds that decline up.

A full career runs from an unknown amateur through the regional circuit to the World Fighting League and ends in retirement, chosen or forced. Expect it to unfold over weeks of real play rather than a single sitting.

Is Glass Jaw free to play?

Yes. You can create a fighter and play The League free in your browser, on iPhone, or on Android. The solo career sim is free too and has no purchases at all.

The League offers optional in-app purchases of gold. Gold is a convenience and cosmetics currency: it can skip a training timer, add a fighter slot to your stable, or buy items in the Style Shop. Nothing you buy changes how a fight is simulated. Matchmaking still pairs you with fighters near your level, so a bigger wallet does not buy wins.

What is the difference between The League and the solo career sim?

The League is the main game and the multiplayer one. Every rival is managed by a real person, the calendar is the real calendar, and fights happen at a booked time, live. You join or charter a fight camp, answer callouts, and can run a stable of fighters. It needs an account (a guest account is created for you) and plays in the browser and in the Glass Jaw app on the same account. League careers are stored on your account.

The solo career sim at https://playglassjaw.com/solo is the original single-player Glass Jaw. The field is simulated, and each advance moves the calendar a week. It needs no account and runs entirely in your browser. A solo career autosaves to that browser after every action; use Export save file in its Settings page to keep a backup, because clearing site data or changing browsers can remove an unexported save.

Can I play the same career on the website and in the app?

Yes. The League is one world and one account. The browser game at https://playglassjaw.com and the Glass Jaw app for iPhone and Android show the same fighters, the same fights, and the same stable.

To move between devices, sign in with the same Apple, Google, or email identity on each one. A guest career that has never been linked exists only on the device where it was created, so link it before you switch.

The web client wears a browser-style shell (a sidebar, wider columns, tables where the app stacks cards), but the rules, copy, and numbers are identical on both. The solo career sim is browser-only and saves to that browser.

What do I actually do as a manager day to day?

A typical session in The League looks like this:

  • Check HQ. Spend any unspent XP on attributes, skills, or techniques.
  • Put your fighter in the gym. Start a drill or plan a whole day of training, then let the timer run.
  • Watch condition. Rest or recover before you book if the meter is low.
  • Get booked. Accept an offer, answer a callout, call someone out, or ask for a fight.
  • Fight live. Set a game plan and aggression, follow the play-by-play, and make calls in the corner between rounds.
  • Read the recap, collect the purse and XP, and check where you moved on the board.

Around that loop you can join or charter a fight camp, scout opponents, and manage more than one fighter from your stable.

What happens while I am offline or away from the app?

The League keeps running. Rankings reshuffle, other managers fight, callouts and offers can land in your inbox, and your camp feed fills up whether or not you are there.

Training is safe to walk away from. A drill or a planned day runs on the server's clock, and when the timer ends the XP banks. The next time you open HQ, the bell on the TRAINING card shows what you earned while you were out.

Booked fights happen at their booked time. If you are not there at the bell, your fighter still fights, using the SAVED FIGHT STRATEGY from the MY FIGHTER screen: the game plan, aggression level, and any directive you set. Being present lets you change those between rounds. Turn on notifications to be told when a fight starts and when results come in.

What is Glass Jaw?

Glass Jaw is a free MMA career simulation with a retro pixel look. You create a fighter, train them, book fights, make the calls from the corner, and climb the rankings toward a world title. Careers end in retirement, and a finished career leaves a record behind.

The main game is The League: one shared online world where every rival fighter is managed by another real person. Fights are booked and fought in real time, and rankings, callouts, and title pictures keep moving whether or not you are online. It runs in your browser at https://playglassjaw.com and as the Glass Jaw app for iPhone and Android.

There is also a single-player version, the solo career sim, at https://playglassjaw.com/solo. It uses the same fighter creation and fight engine against a simulated field.

How do usernames and manager handles work?

Your username is your manager handle, the name other managers see next to your fighters. When you start as a guest, Glass Jaw gives you a temporary handle in the form MGR followed by digits. It is never announced; you first see it prefilled when the game asks you to put your name on your debut headline.

Claiming a handle is a one-time choice. It must be 3 to 20 letters, numbers, or underscores, it has to be available, and some words are not allowed. Once you confirm it (even if you keep the prefilled one) it is locked to your account and cannot be renamed later.

Your fighter's name and ring name are separate from your handle. The ring name can be changed any time from MY FIGHTER.
